What Do Facebook Dots Mean

school system (part 2)

The "Academic Grading System"

Before I click on the "Scholarship" - the scholarships - Address, I have to explain a few definitions, so that a "non-directly-interested parties" means which here is discussed. For many, if not all I know Philippine high schools (public and private) use a rating system for the academic performance of students, which inspired most of the universities in the country, in Europe is unknown. Here is a comparison of European sheet music with the percentage scores or the ranking of the Philippines Academic grading system.

Note      Prozent      Ranking
1,00 96 - 100 98 - 100
1,25 90 - 95 95 - 97
1,50 84 - 89 92 - 94
1,75 78 - 83 89 - 91
2,00 72 - 77 86 - 88
2,25 66 - 71 83-85
2.50 60-65 80-82
2.75 55-59 77-79
3.00 50-54 74-76
4.00 40-49 70-73
5.00 under 40 under 70

Here then are the very good services as defined :
Summa Cum Laude 96-100%
Magna Cum Laude 90-95%
Cum Laude 88-89%

"Scholarship - the scholarship

Depending on the reputation and quality of a school, there are different levels of school fees, as we saw in the first part already. In public schools often cost only a charge of handing over the certificate for example, 150 pesos, the rest is free. The books are provided by the school and even from the requirement to wear the school uniform, poorer children are free. Thus, it means you only pay for books and pens. Depending on the distance to school and transportation costs and any additional food. In addition, depending on costs incurred for "projects" that are not always compulsory. However one of the learning content is not mediated expect too much. Internationally, there are the statements issued, rejected in all the regularity and why.

contrast, in private schools is the uniform requirement. Similarly, the school now gives no books, but you have it yourself. The fees for the private school are about 15,000 to about 50,000 pesos per year. An internationally recognized school will require about 100,000 pesos to 250,000 pesos per year. Who now believes the difference is only in the pockets of parents felt, completely wrong. The proof of this follows in the next part. But private school does not mean that children actually learn more and an "International School" is definitely not accepted admission to an international study course or even international! The greatest common denominator of private schools is only the school fees, but about "scholarship" can be reduced or eliminated.

In the Philippines there are various forms of grants for this purpose. No, this is neither stupid nor any imagination, utopian! With all the poverty here is, you have it, at least in its approach created a good solution. For unlike to Germany, in the Philippines the "gifted", but has poor children born. Yes I know that tells a nobody, especially no concerns it! For that, you have to pay more than many want to accept or even know! The factor for money, whether during school or after graduation, is now even good school performance and school grades. Many schools adopt the admission fees for good grades, issued by the school as before, the change from elementary school to high school. It will provide students and their parents a discount on admission as follows:

Review cost exemption
Summa Cum Laude 100%
Magna Cum Laude 75%
Cum Laude 50%

That is, for children with a GPA of 1.5 or better, must not be paid during enrollment. This sounds at first glance, admittedly somewhat unrealistic or difficult to reach, but the truth is closer than you think. Read more in the next part where I explain that no egghead must be to do it.

Performances during the current school year, similar to the previously mentioned payment model be expected, depending on the method of payment for the current fees or for the next school year. Furthermore, many schools give so-called "Presidential Scholarships" to get where the two students in a class with the highest ranking 100% and 50% adopt the fees, provided the grade point average is at least 85% and no individual grade below 75%.

much is to whine, "my child oh-so-intelligent, but I can not pay the school and the school fees must therefore beg ..."! A system that talented and hardworking students, promotes both in high school through to college completion. Those who do not believe me, look after your time at the renowned Cebu Doctors University . Rather than pay about 35,000 pesos, for example for the studies of Dentistry (Dentist) per semester (a total of 12 semesters to complete), the student can achieve his Doctor for free. Diligence, provided acquired knowledge and existing talent of course!

I unfortunately some of these "care" cases personally from lazy students and students from the extended family know of that can be paid out of their education abroad, without further "evidence" such as attendance and hard work ... na forget it - If the relatives are so stupid and buck like that? However, wondering after a few years that although they are aged, but came into her life any further. They want to marry after they already have a few kids, the college but only saw once on the inside and the only application! And the silly straw relatives toiling abroad with second or third jobs or Putzfee McDonals disc jockey, so the nieces and nephews enough money to gamble, have to eat ... uh
