Toddler Throat Cancer

1/13/2010 Table Mountain, Cape Town

the end of the holiday is the South African sun again all! Already in the morning for breakfast we take refuge in the shade. However, the Table Mountain is the first time in days free of clouds. This is already a central part of the daily program. Equipped with a hat and sun screen we go to the cable car. Here we expect the first times that a proper queue. In this we discover the Belgian family again, we toured the Addo and Schotia. The gondola turns on the way up to yourself so that you have a great view of Cape Town gets. Beautiful view the new stadium ready in time for the World Cup. This had the South Africans have thought a little. All workers receive two free tickets for the games. Probably many of them end up on the black market and even just before the start of the games can be purchased. From Table Mountain one also has a view of Robben Iceland, the prison island where Nelson Mandela was in prison. Tickets for a tour but have been ordered weeks or months in order to win a place on the ship for the voyage. A week to prepare for our trip was too short for this course. Another reason to come back. Following a trail on the mountain we went back to Tom's Guest House, where Guenter just tried a little black boy to teach how to swim. Almost none of the black children to swim here, though they grow up here by the sea. Apropopos swimming in the sea. This week there was a fatal shark attack at a beach here in Cape Town. It should have been a strength cried shark that came close to shore, where water depth is only two meters. The shark has attacked a group of tourists from a float and killed. Increasingly, reverse the Sharks back into their original territory and meet with people who make them their habitat in dispute. This is not always good. The report on shark attack in the local media is not for the faint Nerven.Nachdem us from the hot tour of Table Mountain at the pool had recovered it was Cape Town unsafe. I must admit I've fallen madly in Cape Town. There are plenty of stylish cafes and restaurants. Thanks to the weather plays in the life from the streets and in restaurants. And all very easy and relaxed. The Waterfront is this very modern with shops in which all labels are available which are stylish and expensive. I have seen in Bad Homburg never seen so many expensive cars in one place as here in Cape Town. Who has money, it also shows. However, it is American, which means it is not a cult of it done and it is missing, according to the German-South African, German envy factor. When Barber at the Waterfront, there was a new haircut. In the evening a steak at Rick's Cafe was announced. The whole interior of the restaurant is modeled after the movie Casablanca. A great atmosphere, and again an excellent service. Without reservation, however, is nothing. I have been afraid of our first restaurant visit to Germany. No matter will be this that gives a crash in terms of service and friendliness. The evening we spent with newly arrived guests at the pool with a bottle of wine. You are now the first 10 days in Cape Town, then go for four weeks with the campers. As you can already be jealous! Another night, another breakfast. Thank God we have the night flight with Lufthansa to Frankfurt directly. So we still have one last day before departure to leave the car and once again make Cape Town unsafe.
Cape Town, we will be back!
This is the last part of the travelogue is live from South Africa. The next report comes from good old cold Germany, where Manuel and our two mini-Chetaahs Crispy and Crunchy warten.Es already upon us I have fun every day to write down my impressions and experiences here. I hope you have as much to share in this fun and get some feel for South Africa and the spark may be for one or the other jumped. The Fußballwütigen are already planning a trip to South Africa or are thinking. Enjoy the games, but you let one of the country and people when the referee blew the final whistle the game. You will not regret it!
