Stellenbosch is it the second oldest town in South Africa (1685) and a student city with over 20,000 students, just drifting back to the beginning of the semester in the city and fill it with life. We are in the B & B Alba Rosa entirely located near the historic Old Town. This B & B is also one of the very good recommendations from Barbara (Cactus Berry Lodge, Cape Town). While Franschhoek, "the corner of the French, where we have made on the way from Montagu to Stellenbosch maintenance is very pretty but from my point of view but very versnobbt, Stellenbosch is therefore very down to earth. In Franschhoek for example, was the density of the luxury vehicles but very high (two Audi R8 to 50 meters!) And the view of the real estate prices in the windows of real estate agents indicated that housing prices are equivalent behavior to the types of vehicles. In Germany, Franschhoek to Stellenbosch might behave like Dusseldorf to Freiburg. Personally, I rather lie Freiburg and Stellenbosch, and I would give Stellenbosch because of the weather in a direct comparison yet clear preference. Sorry dear Düsseldorf and Freiburg. There are beautiful shops to stroll and shop as well as numerous Cafes and restaurants where students can sell the lecture (free) time. The proximity to Cape Town and the ocean are another big plus points. When should I emigrate once, Stellenbosch is on the hit list of places close to the top flight. Attractive offers so please email me. Since today is Sunday, many shops are closed. In view of the approaching Urlausendes we will use tomorrow morning, for shopping of souvenirs and gifts. The thought of the flight home leaves me cringe, however. Not just that, a holiday is always something has dramatic and sad in itself. Looking at the front page of the FAZ online I can see actually a backhoe snow in northern Germany digging of the motorway. Please shovel the snow on all the runways in Germany. Then we can still extend a little. (Mind you the negatives!) This difference in temperature above 40 degrees Celsius but No one can endure.
Since we do not rely on the blocked due to snow runways, it goes tomorrow then back to the last station of the holiday to Cape Town. Where we are located in Tom's Guest House, from which all our B & B hosts have only been raved. On arrival we had indeed made it relatively quickly from Cape Town.
